True confession: I'm a messy person.

So I think I need to confess that lately I've been pretty messy. And by that I mean a slob. I'm going to blame it on two things: 1) winter makes me lazy and lethargic; and 2) I wear more clothes in the winter, thus more to put away. Pretty much all of these messes are my own (I guess the bed is half his). Thanks, Michael, for not being fed up with my laziness!

I'll be happy to say that over the weekend these messes have been put away. Now my floor is ready for yet another week of clothes :)

Seriously I don't know how this isn't illegal... Facebook must be selling our info or something. Scary.

Attack of the printers!

So since about August we have been printer-less. I say printer-less but really I mean we have 2 printers (both from our college years) that don't work.

This has been quite annoying when I want to print coupons or recipes... or my proof of insurance for getting my car registered in NC! Well, over Christmas Michael's parents gave us a printer that they got with their Mac computer. Brand new, still in the box, but not wireless. We really want a wireless one, so we agreed to just sell it for them because they didn't know what to do with it. Printer #3. NOW we finally bought a printer with our Christmas money that is wireless, has a scanner, and can actually print - yay! Printer #4.

So that totals 4 printers in our apartment... a ratio of 2 printers to one resident. I'm very excited to finally have a working printer, as well as get rid of the 3 ones we're not using!

Our new printer all set up :)

P.S. Anyone know of a place to donate old electronics?

2011 beginnings.

So it's finally 2011! I shouldn't say finally... 2010 actually flew by. Really. It's fun and weird to sit back and reflect on the past year and all that's changed in my life in just ONE YEAR. A year ago I was bumming on the couch for my month-long Christmas break during college. I started up classes again in January, where I juggled school, a part-time job, wedding planning, and hanging with friends in our last year together, then graduated in May (yay!). Moved home for about a month. Got married in July (BIGGER YAY!). Honeymooned in Punta Cana... moved to North Carolina... had to get used to my husband working 2nd shift (4pm to 1am - absolutely awful for a newlywed in a new town with no friends yet)... then got used to him working day shift... found an AMAZING church and got involved in a great small group... finally got a job as a teller at a bank... discovered I hated my job in the midst of getting used to a 40 hour work week... where now I only slightly dislike my job as a teller. I also spent my first holiday season as a married woman, which was a whirlwind in itself. I'd say it's been the year of "firsts." Many things in my life have turned completely upside down and I would say most have been for the better. If not, they have taught me, and I can say I am thankful for that. It really has been a great year, and I'm looking forward to the next!

We got to bring in the New Year with our good friends Catelyn & Bryan :) Fun times!

side note: as they also got married in July of 2010, they pointed out that now we have to tell people we got married last year. crazy!
